Solution Delivers Significant Benefits to MD Health and Its Clients
TORONTO, ONTARIO – September 11, 2009 - – P & P Data Systems (www.p-pdata.com), a leading developer of paperless solutions for the medical industry, today announced MD Health (www.mdhealth.ca) has selected its Electronic Medical Records Management (EMR) solution for its new urgent care practice located in Vaughan, Ontario.
The EMR solution is marketed as P & P Data’s Clinical Information System (CIS) 7.4.5 and is the industry’s most robust solution designed for medical practitioners looking to substantially eliminate paper from their practices. CIS is a suite of applications designed to run and enhance clinical and medical practices. At the core is an intuitive registration module, billing functionality and a powerful scheduler. The system allows clinicians to save time, reduce errors and manage appointments with unprecedented ease.
“As a result of P & P’s Clinical Information System, we have completely eliminated the inefficiencies of paper in our practice,” said Dr Singaram, Medical Practitioner, MD Health. “Since implementing CIS in 2006, our billing, scheduling and administrative functions run with unprecedented ease. Our increased productivity affords us more time to dispense medical counsel as opposed to completing paperwork.”
CIS is one of the most widely used systems in Ontario because it provides the tools to manage the business affairs of practitioners efficiently and cost effectively. It is a stable system that provides the data to assess the effectiveness of the practice with statistical analyses of patient visits, profiles of services rendered, and the tools to manage the scheduling of appointments, lists for follow-up calls, and booking recall appointments. Most importantly, CIS provides the financial reporting and claims re-submission to insure the effective collection of accounts in a timely fashion to protect the practice’s cash flow.
“That MD Heath has selected our solution for their urgent care clinic is proof positive of its robustness as well as scalability,” said Moshe Pinhas, President, P & P Data Systems. “Already in production at other MD Health Facilities, this is the first of its facilities to offer urgent care to an expanding client base. We look forward to growing with the clinic as well as rolling out numerous other modules of the solution.”
In a separate announcement, P & P Data Systems also announced the certification of CIS (Clinic Information System) Practice Edition 7.4.5; CIS Enterprise Edition 7.4.5 and CIS Clinic Edition 7.4.5 to the CMS Specification 3.0.
