Your staff continuously deal with patient calls, regulatory requirements, and communications with other physicians, pharmacies, and hospitals. A patient kiosk is an add-on to the CIS that allows patients to check themselves in, so you and your staff can provide patient services in other ways. When a patient comes into your clinic and swipes his or her health card, you and your staff can see that the patient has an appointment in CIS Scheduler 7.4.5 and that his or her health card is still valid. The kiosk can be set to ask the patient to verify addresses and other contact information so that your EMR remains up-to-date. The patient kiosk is a sophisticated piece of hardware and software. When it is installed in your practice, a trained P & P technician will set it up the way you want. |
