P & P Data Systems Inc. was started in 1982 to develop clinic information systems (CIS) also known as Clinic Management Systems (CMS), complete with Patient Management Systems (PMS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Immunization Control and tracking, Prescription / RX Writers (APW) with drug interaction, Laboratory Interfaces (TLC) and other diagnostic interfaces via HL7.

Today there are thousands of physicians and healthcare practitioners who use CIS to meet their clinic automation needs. The most significant trend is the rapid adoption of Electronic Medical Records and transitioning to a completely paperless practice.

P & P’s systems are designed to cater to most medical practitioners, optometrists, physiotherapists, dentists / orthodontists, and veterinarians; and they are installed in solo practices to multi-discipline clinics under various management models such as HSO, CHC, PCN, FHN, and NACRS.

The Digital Electronic Records (DER) support SOAP and Health Maintenance Plan (HMP) templates to improve accuracy, ease data entry, and permit medical audits. The base CIS/CMS supports patient registration, patient scheduling / Calendar Automation, and OHIP billing, insurance billing, industrial billing, and third party / responsible party billing.

There are many ancillary systems such as Correspondence Control (Scanning) / Document Management, Letter Generators, Health Card Validation (HCV) either immediate or overnight (OBEC).
